Laminate Flooring

Laminate floors are stylish and durable. Laminate floors provide any area with an outstanding, wear resistant, scratch resistant and indentation resistant surface. With a hard wearing melamine surface impregnated with microscopic granules of carborundum for additional durability, laminate floors are available in an enormous range of colors and styles. Being a floating floor, laminate offers many advantages when compared with other flooring options, like the ability to install laminate over heated or moist subfloors. If you are looking for an attractive and extremely durable floorcovering, you'll find it difficult to look past laminate floors!
Hardwood Flooring
Hardwood flooring comes in three main types: strip flooring, plank flooring and parquet flooring. All three are available in both an unfinished and a pre-finished version. Unfinished flooring must be sanded on site after installation and sealed and finished after installation. Pre-finished flooring is sanded and finished at the factory (i.e. quicker installation).
Engineered Wooden Flooring
Engineered wood flooring should not be confused with laminate wood flooring. Engineered wood or manufactured wood includes a range of derivative wood products which are produced by adhering layers of birch ply veneer with real wood, to form composite materials. The main difference between engineered and laminate flooring is that laminate flooring contains no actual wood.
Ceramic Flooring
Floor tile is a natural, logical choice if you are looking for floorcovering that is beautiful, durable and affordable. There are many options available in terms of the materials and colors: ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, glass, metal, and porcelain wood floors. It may be difficult to select exactly what is appropriate and would work well for a specific project. At Payless Floors, however, we make this process easy and “payless”. We will help you select the right material, size, pattern, color and grout. We also have the best prices for high-end designer and imported brands of tiles that would fit any budget!

Sanding & Refinishing
We also specialize in sanding and sealing your original wooden floor, we can resurrect pretty much any floor no matter how stained or sun bleached, with our sanding machines (most of which are 80% dust free)
How we do it?
We will remove and dispose of all of your carpets, gripper rods and underlay. Then we will sand a small area of your floor to get some sanding dust. This is then mixed with special solvent based glue, which creates a product called 'mix and fill'. It does exactly what it says on the tin, it fills all of the nail holes left by gripper rods, deep scratches or dents and, of course, any gaps between boards or parquet blocks. This is then left to dry for several hours. After this time we can fully sand your floor. We work from 36 grit sand paper all the way down to 120 grit sand paper to archive a smooth, score mark-free finish. This is also done around the edges of the room as well. The floor is then fully vacuumed so that it is free from dust. We then apply the finish you requested. For durability, a lacquered finish is best, this applied in two coats to a bare floor, an oiled finish can also be applied, it is less expensive than the lacquered but will require yearly maintenance. We can also stain your floor any color you wish. We use hard wax oil, because it is a more durable oil/wax finish which adds your desired stain at the same time.
